In other words, it can be understood as the end-stage of renal disease and also the last stage of CKD (Chronic Kidney Disease).

What causes Kidney Failure?

In many of the cases, the kidney failure occurs due to the health problems which damages or give harm to the kidney slowly over time. When our kidneys got damaged they stop working normally as they should. The primary and most common cause of End-stage renal disorder is diabetes. And after diabetes, high blood pressure is the second most common cause of kidney failure. Some of the other common kidney failure causes are - Autoimmune disease, genetic diseases, Nephrotic syndrome and other UTI diseases (Urinary Tract Problems).

Some of the reasons when the kidney stops working very suddenly are Heart Attack, Drug abuse, UTI, and when there is not enough blood flowing to kidneys. This disease is also called as the acute kidney injury or acute renal failure. This is not the permanent kidney failure, and with the regular treatment, the kidneys can become normal.

Kidney Transplant Not A Good Solution for Kidney Failure

Although dialysis can replace some of the things that our kidney do for the body, it is not just the same work that our kidney performs. It means some of the other complications too such as anaemia, bone diseases, heart diseases etc.

As there is allopathic and ayurvedic treatment available for kidney failure, but the question is which one is best and which one we opt? In most of the cases, the person goes with the kidney transplant live longer that the patient goes on dialysis. The donor's kidney functions for up to 20 years (living person), and the deceased donor kidney can function for up to 12 years. But this depends on age too. A younger person benefits the most after the kidney transplant and adults have an average of 4 years after the transplant.

Several disadvantages can occur on or after transplantation. It is a major surgical procedure which included risks. The risks involved in the Kidney transplantation are infection, bleeding and damage to the organs surrounded by the kidney. Sometimes, death can also occur. Organ Rejection is also one of the side effects of a Kidney transplant. The patient is required to eat medications after surgery. These medicines reduce the chances of organ rejection by the body. The medication might continue for the whole lifetime. And these medications also have side effects.
